Mud Cleaner is combination of Desander and Desilter units with drying shale shaker. Mud Cleaner is popular applied for onshore drillings & offshore drilling operation, and is used to effectively remove small particles of drill mud, representing a 2 and 3-stage in mud system designed for processing both weighted and unweighted drilling fluids. The hydrocyclones(desanders and desilters) make the primary separation with underflow directed onto the shaker’s vibrating screen.
The hydrocyclones normally have three sizes: 12inch &10inch size hydrocyclones (Desander) and 4inch size hydrocyclones (Desilter). KINGWELL has mud cleaner with hydrocyclones similar to Swaco or Derrick, and based on the KWMG shale shakers. The 12&10 inch hydrocyclones can separate bigger particles from 40~100microns. However, the 4inch hydrocyclones can separate 15~73microns smaller particles.
Mud cleaner have a design that provides high performance with compact dimensions. Designed to handle the entire circulating volume, mud cleaners are effective on both weighted and unweighted drilling-fluid systems in removing and drying solids while retaining the expensive liquid. Used correctly, the drilling mud cleaner lower both drilling-fluid and disposal costs.
The main parts are hydrocyclones, made of high-strength polyurethane, have high wear resistance and ensure a long service life. KINGWELL has mud cleaner with hydrocyclones similar to Mongoose or Derrick, and based on shale shaker KWMG series.
