Elevator type TA

Elevator type TA is center latch elevator with square shoulder, and elevator type TA is used for handing drill pipes, drill collars, casing pipes and tubing pipes. All drilling elevators are designed and manufactured in accordance with API 8A/8C specification.

Drilling elevators are a lifting device that serves to connect the drawworks rope to the drilling apparatus when lowering or lifting it from the well.
