Choke manifold and Kill manifold

The choke manifold is an essential device for successful well kick control and implementation of pressure control technologies in oil and gas wells and choke manifold is designed, manufactured and inspected in accordance with API 16C. A throttling and killing manifold regulates downhole pressure fluctuations that occur during drilling by directing flow through a series of valves and chokes.
The choke manifold is composed of choke valves, gate valves, line pipes, fittings, pressure gauges, etc. One end of the device is connected to the side flange of the blowout preventer spool. When the BOP closes, it can control the final pressure from the casing by adjusting the opening of the throttle valve, so it is balanced drilling can operate with minimal pressure differences.
The kill manifold consists of check valves, gate valves, pipelines, pressure gauges. In the event of an increase in wellhead pressure, the kill manifold can serve as a means of pumping heavy drilling fluid into the well to balance the bottomhole pressure so that in this case, using purge lines connected to the kill manifold, it is also possible release increasing wellhead pressure directly to relieve bottomhole pressure or pump water and fire extinguishing agent into the well using kill manifold.
