Mud agitator is designed to prepare and maintain the required characteristics of drilling fluids. They ensure uniform mixing of drilling fluid and additives, preventing local oversaturation of chemical.
Mud agitator consists of electric motor, gearbox and shaft with impeller. Currently, there are two types of connection between the motor and gearbox: direct connection and coupling connection. Mud agitator with direct connection will be much smaller in size than mud agitator with coupling connection and is generally easy to install. The mud agitator with coupling connection can be equipped with a base support for easy installation.
Mud agitator is typically installed on mud tank to mix drilling fluids to prevent sedimentation. It also helps preserve the properties of the drilling fluid, which will be transferred back to the well. Each compartment in the tank must be equipped with a mud agitator, and the amount of mud agitator can be calculated for 3-4 meters in each. The drilling mud agitator is widely used in oil and gas drilling circulation system, trenchless drilling mud recovery system, water well mud cleaning system, TMB mud system, etc.
